Lake level dropping

Murray has dropped over a foot in the past couple of days. I thought it was supposed to be on the way up after Jan. 1st. Is this because of the cold spell or is something else causing this?

They have been running around 17000cfs to try and keep up with the power demand. This is a new record for the saluda I think someone said…gauge height was around 12’ the other day. With warmer weather on the way they should start dialing it back some.

They cut the outflow from 17,500 CFS to 821 CFS. It should start to fill back up again now. SCE&G didn’t have enough electricity, there were rolling blackouts. They had to run wide open.
