Long Enuff and I putted around the dam and out to around marker 6 for a few hours with not much to report. We did not see any bait anywhere. We did not mark any fish, except for a few on the bottom. It is too early at this point. If we get a long string of cool nights, it will be game on. It was, however, a beautiful night…

in your own words that were posted in my reports…“At least you got to go”…lol…i figured you would be out the first chance aval. they will be around soon enough.
So are the fish still up in the rivers or are they just in other areas in the lake?
All that I can tell you is where they are not at. I have heard a lot of reports that they have been schooling all over the lake. We may have found a couple if we would have went further across the lake. But, that’s ok, we will get 'em soon enough!!

Lynn they are all up here in Marion and i’m not letting them come down there to you Just kidding , we do have alot of bait around however i haven’t seen anything schooling lately. I’ve only been watching from my dock as i had back surgery for a herniated disc on monday. Guess i know how you felt now huh. surgery went well however and i should be back in action soon. I’ll be watching your reports for some success but i agree the water needs to cool some.

We were trolling Stretch 25s and MirrOlures. I used to live bait for them when we were “allowed” to fish inside the buoys. We usually do pretty good trolling, but it is a little early, at least for a consistent bite IMO.

Lynn, any problems with the dam nighttime security guards this year? Did you put in at Short Stay?
No problems as of yet, though we didn’t really troll deep in the corner. There was a lot of debris in the corner and out some, so we stayed away for the most part. Yes, we put in at SS. It is nice to have friends with an ID…

Well, I know they are not down here. At least not the other night. Man, I hope you recover soon! I know how you feel. My back was feeling great(not 100%) after my last procedure up until about a month ago. It still feels better than it did before, but has wnet backwards a little bit. Anyway, get better, and get down here and help me catch some linesides!!

That’s right!! It was fun none-the-less!!
Yep, I figured that we would give them a try the first night just to see what we were dealing with at this point.
And yes, they will be around…
