Well, I didn’t get started fishing until 0120 due to having to prove who I was to a female guard at the dam when I went in there scouting for bait. Less than an hour or so later I was heading to the hill. I shot the breeze with the guard at Short Stay for a while before heading home. I ended up bring home my 3 keepers. I was by myself, but if some more would have been with me, I feel confident that we would have caught all the limits. I caught a lot of fish just short of 26". I had a couple of doubles which are always fun when you are by yourself. I successfully land all the doubles, but I lost a single hog close to the boat when he jumped up and shook the lure.[:I] It was a great night, and I left them biting. I brought home 2 that are close to 27" and 1 that is at least 31". I will be cleaning them later on(it will be nice for my boy to see them). I will try to take a pic or two to post. BTW, there were a couple of, what appeared to be, SLED agents watching me like a hawk for some reason. I was a long ways from the dam when I was fishing catching…

Where do you launch? I have never fished there and would like to try. I always fish the Hill or Murray. Thanks.

I am currently launching at Short Stay. I have friends that are serving our country, and I am allowed to launch as their guest. You can launch at Atkins landing, or launch at the canal and ride across the lake. I have done that many nights…

we are going to be in bad shape if some of the raping i have witnessed this year keeps going on…a whole lot of 2 lb fish have died at the hands of Guides and their guest…truely sad…
