Lake Moultrie 10-30 My personal best.........

It was an eventful night. I caught 3 keepers and several short fish. I only brought home 2 keepers though. It was calm on the lake, and just a beautiful night on the water. I was fishing solo in my boat, but was joined by hdgb in his boat, and another friend in his boat. No one was shunked!

I caught all my fish on the red/white MirrOlure running only about 10’ down. The fish that I caught the night before was great, but I caught my biggest striper last night. It is roughly 37"-38" long. Boy was I glad when I got him in the boat after a great fight. It behaved very well and went right into the net. I may have let out a yell or two. I know that there are much bigger striper, but this one is an awesome fish to me.

Thanks!

According to a scale that I have, it was close to 24#. That scale does read a little light though. You can’t really tell as good from the pics, but the fish was pretty fat and thick.

Here is a screenshot from a web striper size calculator.

All I know, is that it was a great fish to catch, and I am sure it will taste great as well…:stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks Russ! Yeah, I agree, they sure do look good, especially the night time pics when they are wet and reflective.

Thanks on the yard! I haven’t even watered it all year. It has some brown spots here and there. I just treated for mole crickets and put down some winterizer. I love the way the ground looks where I have been fileting the striper. I have scales all over, I love it!!:slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks, I appreciate it! It may be hard for me to beat that anytime soon, as I just got lucky. I’m just glad to see some quality fish come out of Moultrie. I am also glad about all the just short fish I have caught. It will not be long before the fishery gets back where it was, or at least close (I hope)…:slightly_smiling_face:

Lynn…nice fish buddy…I know you let out a yell…you couldn’t hold back…

we need to make some plans soon to go…before it gets windy, cold, and wet…which is the weather you enjoy…

great fish lynn; and well deserved after taking care of the other guys with the bad batteries. we have all been there and most of us do not hesitate to help the less fortunate. congrats again.

Amazing Lynn. Simply amazing. Now I definitely want to get out there and fish with you. Especially if there are fish like that out there man. Congrats on the personal best man.
