Got2Go and I had a wonderful cruise out on the high seas a little while ago. The waves were every bit of 4’ at times, mostly a solid 3’ average.[:0] We were greeted by the guards shining their headlights and spotlights at us from atop the dike. I could not believe how they just kept aiming their beam at us. If they were trying to yell something at us, they were SOL. No way we could have heard them yelling into 25+ mph winds. There were SLED(I assume) agents following us from the dike. They would just kind of stay with us as we were trolling by. Then, some agents got out of the vehicle and were running on the dike toward the dam. Who knows??
Anyway, the important stuff… We caught several decent striper. However, only one made it past that 26" mark. We had fun braving the seas and taking a little water over the bow here and there.
Who’s going tonight??

That is dedicated committment to Striper fishin’ right there.
Fishing on the bottom is like having sex with the lights turned off. It feels good… but I wanna see it.
Lights On!

thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming…
Junkie, no doubt a striper junkie! Nothin like it.
But that’s when they like to eat:smiley:

Yep, they were hungry! We missed a few. It was kinda interesting trying to maintain my target speed. We would be going 1.4mph one second, and then 5.7mph the next. That probably didn’t help the hooksets…

Hardcore, dedicated, passionate, and a lil’ crazy!!! I’m glad to know that I still have my sea legs. It was an interesting night, fo’ sho’! I still can’t believe that we were getting lights shined at us and on us when we were a solid 1/2 mile w/wsw of the locks and buoys. In the rough weather, having millions of candlepower shined in your eyes made it more unsafe to navigate than the waves we were in. Ridiculous! Lynn, check your e-mail as I sent you that list. If you would, please post in the Board of Director’s topic and be safe over the weekend as I am off to watch the leaves change.

You would think so! I guess that they can’t be too safe with all the fisherterroristmen going around blowing up dams and such…[:0]
