I trolled solo for a while late last night on the Moultrie Sea. It was rough to say the least. I caught a nice and fat keeper within the first few minutes (just under 29"). Then there was a little lull period before it got busy. I had plenty of action for the next 2 hours or so. I threw back between 20 and 25 decent shorts that will be food in a year or two.
I did manage another fat keeper that was a little over 28".
Since it was rough, and I was by myself, if the fish was on but not pulling at keeper strength, I gave it a few seconds before I grabbed the rod so it could just shake off. A lot of them did shake off, and I probably had 15 or so that I did that with. Lots of fish everywhere with bait mixed in. I wanted number three, but I had to get home in time to get a little beauty sleep.
