Lake Moultrie 12-17

Another night of catching shorts, but plenty of 'em. I trolled for a while and caught probably 7 or 8. I had a few more on that I didn’t rush to the pole on, due to knowing they were shorts. Most of them would just shake off if I was lucky. I quit trolling and started casting the bucktail out from the dam where I was marking fish. Once again, it was on.:slightly_smiling_face: I caught at least 25 shorts and lost a couple that felt strong. Poor hookset I guess, or just trigger happy.:face_with_head_bandage: A lot of the shorts were just shy of 26". That was a blast anyway! No fresh striper for supper tonight. I guess I’ll have to thaw out some from my stock. I marked a good bit of fish in schools here and there, and bait was everywhere!
I guess one of these nights I’ll do something right and catch a couple or 3 nice ones…:stuck_out_tongue:

Looks like it would be a good night tonight! I may go. It all depends on a buddy of mine. We may go in the salt tomorrow morning. I usually don’t fish during the day, but I heard that some were catching some fish trolling in and around the channel deep during the day. Good luck if you get out there!!
