Well, I started trolling around 0345. I caught a nice striper around 0430 and lost one shortly after. Stopped shortly after that when my brother got to the landing with some minnows. We caught a whole 2 crappie.
Here’s a couple pics of the striper. I know it isn’t a spectacular fish or anything, but it has been a while since I caught, or heard of anyone catching one on Moultrie.

9lbs 13 oz? thats my weight guess…what was exact figures?

I didn’t weigh it. I just cleaned it up and expect to eat it tomorrow! Even after all my trimming to get pretty much nothing but white meat(bloodline, fatty yellowish meat), there is plenty to feed my family and I.
I would say that your guess is a fair one. It was definitely fat and heavy for a striper just over 30 to 31".

lynn,do you ever need anyone to fish with you on the weekends?
i’m in greenville and have never been on moultie but have always wanted to fish it.
I’m always wanting to fish. I really only fish for the striper at night, especially rough nasty nights! If you don’t mind that, you can shoot me an email with your contact info if you like , and I will definitely keep you in mind. Most of the time I am fishing solo. So, I can get in touch with you when that’s the case. I will try to give you plenty of notice…

31"…I’d have to say that’s a 12lb 9oz fish then…I was thinking about 28"
