Ended up catching a total of 9 keepers. The biggest was between 31" and 32". Also caught a bunch of good eating size cats. Even introduced my equalizer to a couple pesky gar. All were caught using live bait between 35’ to 40’ down. After a while with no hits, I switched to trolling and only got a couple of hits. I might go trolling later tonight, not sure yet.

Lynn,what time did you get off the water on Fri. nite? We{ Linda} caught 2 nice cats and thats it. They were getting real lonely in the cooler till all those stripers showed-up..THANKS!! Hope we didnt get you in any trouble w/ the gate keeper?[:0][:I] Hope we can do it again real soon. I GOTTA make a stop on old hwy 52 first tho...:wink:

Hey man…the cast is off…I’m ready for some fishing…let me know when you need someone…what kinda bait you using to catch fish…are you buying or catching at dam???

Mike, only caught 2 more striper after you left. I started trolling around 0430. I left sometime after the sun came up. Yeah, the guard said he didn’t mean to sound so gruff, but he didn’t want you to get in trouble for not having a permit. He said that the MAN has issued some heavy fines recently.

Carl, good to hear that you are healed up! I have been catching my bait at the dam. There is so much bait (small, medium & large). I am supposed to be going offshore Wednesday. If that falls through, I will be at the dam that night. I will keep you posted…

How are you catching your bait??? About what time.???

Are u still tying up by rope to the grate and wall??

I might rig my small boat up and make my way out there soon…I need to catch some fish…

I catch my bait using a sabiki rig. You can catch them all night. It tends to get a little harder in the late night/early morning hours if they’re not pulling water. Yes, I am still tieing up if possible.
