We got started late and left early (at least for me= approx 2300 - 0430)
. Only caught three. A 27" and two 29". Probably would have caught more, but there was so much debris that we had to clean off our lures every couple minutes.

What lures were you trolling? Surface or Deep? Water Depth? Do you always have to go at night?
I used to fish for stripers off Cape Cod / Marthas Vineyard for a couple of spring/summers a couple of years ago. Wouldn’t mind putting a couple in the freezer or on the grill.

Reel RNs, Sorry so late getting back to you. This site was blocking my IP Address. I troll using stretch 25s, 30s and mirrolures. I mainly use ones with the red heads. It varies as far as depth, I run some short and long (more line out, deeper they go). As far as live bait, I have been fishing anywhere from 20’ to 55’ deep. I have never really tried a whole lot during the day to catch striper. They are pretty concentrated around the dam at night. I prefer the night time, less competition
. Maybe we can meet out there one night this week.
Just had some striper for dinner and it hit the spot
