I went last night for around 4 hours and had only one hit. I put in at Short Stay and the landing is getting on the edge of not being able to be used. I had to (kinda by accident) drop the trailer wheels off the end to get the boat off. Luckily, it’s only about a 3-4" drop. I left around 2am. I wish I could have stayed until morning since all the fish I have caught lately have came after 4am. If you use the landing there be careful because there were several gators right by the ramp I had to keep an eye on.

LYNN, I had a similar experience but not as good result. I ended-up bending the rim and blowing a tire trying to get back up the ramp, afew years back, after launching the boat. The security guard said, "wacha gonna do now?"...I stripped off my clothes, {about 37*} walked to the trailer axle and lifted the whole thing sideways on the ramp, dried off and limped the trailer to a parking spot and said, "Gonna go fishin'."...When I got back, the boat shop was open and they lent me a ballpeen hammer and I was able to straighten the rim, fill it with air and drive home.. BTW> Are you trolling or useing live bait? If live, where are you getting them?
I am using stretch 25’s and stretch 30’s. Yeah, when I backed off the drop I went real slow and easy as possible. When I pulled out I put it in 4wd just to make it easier so I didn’t jerk it up the drop. I hope the landing will still be able to be used the next two months when the fishing gets good. I’m always looking for people to go with me. I might go Tuesday or Wednesday night. If you’re available to go shoot me an email.
