I have a buddy that is out there right now catching them up. Alot of small ones and some nice ones around 25" that are no good now. He has caught some keepers too. I would be there also, but my wife works for Publix and just left for Beaufort to put on a flu clinic tomorrow. Anyway, I plan on going tomorrow night when she gets home. If you would like to go, let me know…

lynnmcd,
Thanks for all your informative posts, but there is no way that you can fish all night as many times as you do and still go to work during the day. You must have a sugar momma. Let us in on your secret. Does she have a sister?
Yeah, I am a stay at home dad. I hurt my back a couple of years ago working in management @ UPS. They messed me over, but life goes on. I have to pop my pills continuously to function. I try not to let my back mess up my family life or fishing. I have had bad days where I couldn’t even go fishing because of my back (now that’s bad!). As far as sleep goes, I don’t sleep very much at all. I woke up at 0600 today and probably will not sleep again until tomorrow sometime, maybe during my children’s nap. I can tell as I am getting older that the no sleep thing is catching up with me here and there. If I have some success tonight, I will more than likely go tomorrow night as well. The offer is still out there for anyone wanting to go. Sometimes though, I do pretty good solo, but I don’t mind having some company.
Sorry, she only has a brother. The mold was broke when she was made. I have to be the luckiest man alive!!

No problem, let me know when you want to go…
As far as techniques, I don’t do anything special. I am just fortunate to be able to go often. Law of averages you know, if I go enough, I’m bound to have a successful trip once in a while… I usually start out pulling 4 lines. If it is slow, I will add lines. I will sometimes pull as many as 8, even when solo. That can make it interesting when you get a big one on that likes to run like crazy!

ya i guess that’s what i’m interested in , what your pullen and how your doing it with the key west. Mostly i live bait and drift up here on marion. A few showin up but no big numbers and not schoolin. maybe this cooler weather will kick something off. Right now i’m spendin more time in the woods than fishing however.

I caught 2 nice cats and 2 striper. One of the striper was 25" and one was 28". There was alot of bait around the dam compared to lately. I marked a good bit of fish. My kids and I just finished eating the keeper! I plan on going again tonight. Bad thing is, I have only had about 45 minutes sleep, if that. Maybe the excitement will keep me going!
