Well, I got skunked. I had one decent strike, but that was it.
About the dam issue. I talked with a friend today that spoke with a high up at Santee Cooper. He said that the rule that allows bait boats in close to the dam but not fishermen, is federal. It is a federal law that has to do with homeland security. He said that there is no way to fight it. I told him that I (we) might not get it changed, but was (were) still going to try. I don’t care what level the rule or law is at, it still does not change the fact that it makes no sense and is discriminating.

solution is to have one of your fishing buddies stand on the bow holding a throw net when your trolling inside the bouys.
You are bait fishing nobody says you can’t drag lures behind.
just sayin stupid rules require stupid ways around them heheheh.
sorry you got skunked guess the striper now know where to hide.

While you’re at it I dont want to pay taxes anymore. That is the rule for the back side of most major water retaining structures since 9/11… good luck.

If they want to say it is a security issue, then don’t let any boats in. Of course, I do not want to mess up the bait guys, but fair is fair.
