Just curious if the fish run up the lake in the winter like they do on Murray. They have been running a lot of water out of murray so far this year. I hope it continues for the spawn run.
They are there in Moultrie, I know it. I know striper like cold water, but it seems (in my experiences) on Moultrie, when the water temp drops below 55°, they get lockjaw bad. You can still pick up one or two here and there, maybe more if you are good or lucky. But, there is no consistency like if the water is a little warmer. Like I said, this is from my experiences. Someone with more skill might be able to trigger some strikes more often. I have often said that I only get lucky here and there… It may just be the incorrect way that I’m holding my mouth!
