Well, I would like to say that I had a great time last night even though it could have been a little more productive. hdgb fished with me and he had a good day (killing a deer and then catching a few striper). I look forward to fishing with him again.
The bait wasn’t quite as thick as it has been, but we were still able to follow it around and find a few fish. hdgb got the skunk out the boat with a nice 29" striper. We ended up with a single limit of striper and a good size channel cat. We caught a couple of shorts also. The biggest striper weighed 22 to 23 lbs. according to the grips. It was thick! All the fish have been weighing pretty good due to all the good size bait that they are feeding on. Most of the hits we had came on the shortest and shallowest lines again. It was a whole lot calmer out there last night then it has been on my more productive trips. I plan on being out there tonight!:wink:

Great trip , the fish were assume but more importantly your shared knowledge of the fishery. You will see i have sucked you dry when i set up my key west , order some lures and get out there and compete with ya. :slight_smile: My day at work is sucking however after the long night on the water. Thanks we’ll do it again and for sure i owe ya a trip in the big boat for all the shared info. Great to see even with the increased size limits there are big fishes to fill the box. As you guys can see we caught a few of em.
