Of course the lake is getting lower by the minute, but Short Stay is still OK to use. I only caught two Striper (a 26" & 29") and a nice blue cat trolling. I missed one other strike. Hopefully the water will stay up enough for the slaying during the cooler months.

congrats on the fish…do you still catch many in numbers during certain times of yr? its been 2 yrs or so for me since ive seen more than 5 caught at a time in the lake
It seems to me that late May through July and late October through January you can easily catch limits. A couple of nights this past summer we had to throw back plenty because we already had our limits with live bait. My best night (as far as numbers and time) came last winter when I was trolling by myself. I caught 13 or 14 in less than two hours. The excess were released successfully. The very next night I only caught 4. You know how the striper are, unpredictable.

You can go at anytime. After hours, you pull up to the call box before the gate and dial 11. When the man answers you tell him that you’re there to launch a boat. They will usually tell you to stop by the security building to get a pass. Then they will open the gate. I have been going around midnight, but it seems it has been at least 4am before any hits. I went last night and got skunked. Marked more fish but no takers. There hasn’t been a whole lot of other people out there. I usually pull 4 Stretch 25’s. Once in a while I will pull 5.
