SanteeCarl, I spoke with a person from Mann’s about the faulty lures. She sent me 5 replacement lures and 1 from their new textured line. That helps in getting my stock back up

Tell catman – that your stock of lures goes down on those nights that the “big” cats are hitting and popping the 30# test line…
Post on your sucess…hope the stripers are there…it’s fun catching catfish…but stripers are the goal…

Well, I caught a few striper and cats. Only one striper was barely a keeper (21 and a hair). I let him go to grow up a bit. I had five other fish on that did feel alot bigger and ran good like a striper, but they only stayed on for a few seconds and decided otherwise. All in all a good night with a little action. I guess I’ll have to thaw out one of my frozen bags of striper to cook tonight instead of fresh filets

Went last night, caught 3 stripers and 6 cats. Only one keeper striper. First i been up since this summer. My buddies boat had a leak so we had to call it early. Quit around 0230. Plenty of bait that i have seen. Schools of cats right on top the water. Even had some hit my sabiki.
I think the next couple or few weeks will be better. You never know. I would like to have another good night fishing like when you went (maybe less cats and more striper).
