I took my 10yo son to the lake early this morning hoping to see some action (diving birds). No such luck. We trolled for about an hour and hooked into a nice large mouth that my son was all to willing to real in. It was a very fat ~6lb. After that fish we had nothing all morning. I got tired of watching this pontoon boat catching a cooler full of cats so I changed out my rods. I put on a little stink bait, and in no time had a 17lb cat in the boat. It was 1:30 and time to get off the water and get lunch. We are having fish for diner!
No striper but it looks like the cats are biting. Very little bait fish to be found / unlike last week. Or at least it not as plentiful
