Lynn,
what is the lake temp? Do you find that the fish get lock jaw when the lake gets too cold. The wateree striper guys say the fish shut down around 45*

It is between 45°</font id=“size4”> and 49°</font id=“size4”>. I think they shut down on Moultrie at around 54°</font id=“size4”>, at least in my experiences they have!

its 48 on the hill - i dont know how the everybody else is doin round here but we got shut down sat. night with a school of herring under our lights that would make anybody proud- we havn’t caught a fish since it dropped below 52-did get a case of pneumonia out of it -wifes a nurse and she said absolutly not this weekend - good luck to all that try it!!

Buddy of mine is still getting fish in plum-branch on live an cut bait.

Lynn you dont think it has more to do with the fish have moved up the lake toward the wyboo area before headed up the river. I always keep a couple of freelines out while catfishing and havent caught a stripper sinse proabablly before christmas and it was a little 1 way up the lake closer to the canal. I will be chasing kitties down there in a tournamnet tommorow I hope they dont have lockjaw.

I’m still marking plenty of fish. I also actually see a good bit of striper when they come up and turn right beside the boat saying ha ha…
