First I must say that I had a great time having SanteeCarl fishing with me on my boat. We caught a total of 38 fish and popped off a few more big ones. No, the 38 were not all striper, not even close. We landed 29 cats and 9 striper (8 nice keepers). We had hits most of the night with some dry spells. At first when we got to the dam it was like glass around there. Then the wind changed a bit later and it got a little rough. It was a whole lot slower ride back across the lake. Without some rain it will not be long before it will be impossible to get out of the canal. It’s roughly 2’ deep in the channel.

Thanks Lynn.. Those cats must be HUNGRY!! Wonder what they'd do with some chicken livers and nitecrawlers?? BTW> is anyone useing downriggers?
I have a friend that went recently and used a downrigger and landed a 70# cat. I don’t think he caught any striper on it.

Good Job…has the water dropped more???..It was about 5 to 6 last Friday…any size to the cats???..later Carl
guys…if you have a chance to fish with Lynn…do it…I had a great time fishing with him…we caught fish on every rod & reel on the boat…We had plenty of cats go 25–40#…and lost a few that we could not even turn…
we were using the catch and release on the big cats…besides…we didn’t have a cooler big enuff to keep the amount of fish we were catching…
All 8 stripers were big, fat, and put up a good fight to the boat.
OH yeah…it wasn’t cold out there until the ride back…wow…was it rough and wet…and the water was a true 56 degrees…I can volch for it…
10-4 …Whats the weekend looking like for everyone…my junk is locked and loaded…what time did yall go out weds???..going to try and hunt one day this weekend…later Carl
