I went out at about 5 pm and fished longer than I would like to admit without a hit. I launched out of Shull Island (Larry Koon) and trolled all the way around the point to the back of Beaver dam. Fished live herring out of the wind in Beaver dam. Did not read many fish at all anywhere. Just wondered if anyone had any luck this past weekend. I would have liked to have gone down by the dam because I thought the water would be clearer, but the wind was blowing that way and it was pretty rough and I was worried about debris. Even without a hit it was better than sitting in a bar or home watching tv.

Tagalong, I tried your technique with no success. but I guess there needs to be fish around for it to work.

I caught six in about 45 minutes midday Saturday. 2 legal. It was way too windy to be out in a 14’ tiller handle trash can.

was the water muddy where you were.

relatively, but there was a lot of flotsam in the water you would not want to hit at running speed. 4x4’s, old docks, road barrels. All kind of crap.
