Didn’t get out on the water until 9 (been reluctant to have them set the boat out after watching Tuesday’s blow and the other evening storms in the forecast this week), but found fish again in 60+ feet well pulled back off a point. The first two were the smallest stripers that I think we have caught yet, but the 9 1/2 pounder we caught next help take the sting off. All caught just off the bottom except for one of the tiny ones at mid-depth. Wound up catching 6, three of which were keepers, and lost a couple near the boat. After 10 o’clock it appears to be a waste of our time to fish. Next week we’ll be out at first light.
Starting around mid day or so start checking about 20-50 yards out in front of the towers. During the summer for some reason the bait congregate there and fish will be below or mixed in. JMO but during this time of day at this location bought bait doesn’t work as good. Jig the bait up and put it right back down. Match the hatch.
What do you mean “jig the bait up?”

Nice fish!
I fished an event this morning with 12 other boats, about half of them guides on the lake, and the biggest fish caught was only 6+ pounds.

When they are there, you can usually use a sabiki rig or small gold hooks and get them jigging at the towers.
