I mainly fish Santee but would love to branch out a little for new scenery if nothing else.Do the Rockfish school good in these lakes or do you mainly have to drift live bait?
Key to Lake Murray is to find the fish on the ff and drop the bait on them or drift in the area you see them again with bait just above the depth you see them. BB Herring are excellent baits if frisky. If they surface and you are lucky enuf to b there, throw the kitchen sink at em and they’ll take it.
Lake Wateree is a mystery to me. I’ve tried for stripers there several times and they just don’t bite like Lk Murray. Maybe I’m not well liked there.
