We decided to try for a few stripers on Sat. PM… got to Jake’s at 2:45 and discovered that Archie has raised his launch fee again… now $ 7.00… that wouldn’t be terrible, but, he certainly could stand to improve his facility… new courtesy docks would be nice… anyway, we went to some spots reported as good for cut bait on the bottom, anchored… tried it some, but really, the jet ski’s and fastbass boats kept the water so chopped up you couldn’t set lines out… maybe during the week would be ok… did pick up a juvie 18 incher in Hollywood Point cove… and had a few knock downs… drifting live baits in about 20 ft of water… surprised to see so many jet ski’s and waterskiers… the temp was still 65 degrees… kind of chilly for my old fat self… Gorgeous Sunset at 7:35 Pm !!! Maybe next week will improve things… good luck to all …
That can be a serious problem when cutbaiting. We got into some good fish Friday afternoon that were feeding bigtime around midlake. A few bass guys, no jet skis.
