First Mate and I finally got a couple of small ones to the boat today… along with the usual " Lake Murray Billfish"… found them up almost to Dreher Is. / big gap area… anyone having much luck now ?? seems that they should be starting up… surface water temp was 78 most all day … beautiful day on the lake, just need a few keepers for the table now !!
Went out Saturday morning with phishinphan. We started in the big pool and I got one. We move up past shull and I got two more. we had a couple pull downs. The three I caught were all short. Lost one nice one due to a sticking drag, never saw it but it felt real like a big one. I have retired that reel to the garbage can. Phishinphan missed a couple but did not land any. Lake was kind of rough so we did not see any schooling.

Fished around dreher island sunday afternoon and mon morning Smaller ones are definitely there now with some big ones mixed in. Caught around 12 only ab 3 or so keepers. All on topwater
