I don’t post many reports, but here it is. I had the pleasure of taking a Purple Heart recipient striper fishing today. What an honor! Wind was tough, but we did manage to find some calmer water and caught plenty of fish on boards, corks, and free lines. Fish cooperated real well from daylight until about 11:00 and then they slowed down. From daylight until about 8:30, we struggled to get our full spread out because the fish were biting so fast. Changed locations and ran into Fogman and his lovely better half. James, you are a blessed man. All fish came on herring fairly shallow off of shoals.

I am indeed very blessed! Jennifer is my best catch ever and will forever be!.. We ended up with 9 keepers, 5-8 pounds, with points and humps in 10-30 proving best. Man! The wind was tough, but we managed a good outing in a favorite mid-lake creek. We’re on spring break; so I picked today to take Jennifer with it forecast to be the warmest of the week. Jennifer doesn’t do under 75 degrees very well on the the water.
Fog, that was me across the point from you. Sorry, didn’t recognize your boat or I’d have said hello. Saw you and Bowhunter talking, should have picked up on that…
