i think it is alittle of both.
The lake is in the process of turning over right now. That is the reason for the excessive amounts of dead rockfish.

I believe the lake is about finished turning over…at least it has seemed that way the past couple nights. Caught a total of 13 tonight. 9 were 24" and over (biggest 34"
), 4 were 19-21 inches. My dad and I were throwing the 21-inchers back just to be on the safe side in case DNR happened to show up at the ramp.
I will post another thread in the morning, more like afternoon (when I wake up), with better details and pictures.

Seriously, it’s gonna be a letdown when the horseshoe falls out!!!
It should be good for a while now. But they will spread out soon. Right now they are all in the lower lake. Soon they will be schooling on the surface, that is fun.
