busted my arse on the way down the ramp on my dock this morning at about 6:00, gathered my dropped belongings, and headed to the dam for bait. David from the Blueback Bait Company had some great looking BBH. Marked a few fish at the dam between the towers & spillway, but no luck. Checked out a few other spots, and ultimately ended up moving up to the little gap, where we landed 5 short fish, but no keepers.
This was the first time that I have actually fished live bait off of my boat, I did get a few setup details squared away, and figured out that my new bait tank is absolutely wonderful. I had 4 doz baits in my 20 gallon Vest tank, and they are still very lively. Now if I can just come up with a way to get bait the night before, and get it out of the back of the truck and into the bait tank, I will be in good shape.
