We camped at the state park & fished a couple of days. We had no luck with the bream, I guess the wind had them spooked & we missed the full moon by a few days.
Friday morning we got into some cats but by lunch the wind gotten too bad so we ended the day with 5, biggest was 7 pounds (my daughter caught that one). The wind was a lot better Saturday afternoon & we had about 15 or so by the end of the day, biggest was 9 pounds.
I am hoping to try again next month before the full moon, they should be biting good then.

Are there sites that allow keeping the boat in the water/beach at Wateree?
Yes.
I don’t think you get a water slip it is just where ever you can find a spot to beach it.
There is a lot of room to do that.
If you don’t want to beach it they have a pretty big parking lot up at the ramp & depending on site & boat size you can park it at your site.
Got lucky this time, i had room for the camper and my boat with it still hooked to my truck.
