Lake World Night Tourny

Friday night. Who’s fishin it?

Was thinking about it. Don’t see how I can work all day, drink beer all night and stay awake…much less catch fish! $200 per boat and tourney starts at 7:00 pm friday night and weigh in is at 9:00 am at Richards if I understand correctly? Hint hint.

lines-in 7PM, scales open 8AM, close 9AM. $75 per boat, $25 big fish pot. 5 fish per boat. register prior to 7PM Friday. All DNR rules apply. Weigh-in at store. Launch anywhere on Murray.

I am in if I can get out of working saturday. tournament is $75 per boat plus $25 for big fish.

i really do not have much of a comment on this because i have been hurt enough already. i am afraid that reading about this will bring up old wounds. LOL. sounds like a good time. just do not know if i can haul that much beer in the seapro. LOL LOL

was planning on fishing but the wedding has got me working long hrs this week and don’t have the time to get the boat ready; and i hate rushing around at the last minute cause something will always go wrong. soooooo i am offering 30 bucks to someone who will take me fishing that night, and ANY money that is won by the boat i would want NONE of it at all. i would just like to fish that night and not be in control of a boat for once…lol…yes i am being lazy… but if anyone wants some company let me know, as long as i can use my own gear. its got all the luck for me.

i’m in…anyone heard how many boats he has so far ? I imagine you can get in right up till starting time, so it’s probably hard to tell what the total number will be

hey murraymaker; i might just be interested. i really do not want to fish all night either. might be willing to give it a shot. after all; you can probably catch all of the big fish that we need that night and then i can just sleep on the boat while i tie up to my ex friends.(probably triton and steelytom) lol lol. let me give this some thought. you can definitely use your own rigs. my zebco 202’s are kinda special to me anyway.

you snooze you loose…lol…jk teamin up with tim so he can show me the ropes on how he does it. would def like to hook up with some of you guys soon.

Coolbreeze,
If you remember the courts decision, this is your visitation weekend. I am not fishing the tournament.

Looks like Triton will be on the bank as well. Gots lotsa business stuff going on and my “chores” are far behind as well. Might just sit in the boat and turn on my cb and listen in though!

Alex give me “Sorry Azz Fisherman” for $1000 please.

Answer: The only person who can troll Lake Murray through the night for 10 hrs without catching a fish.

Contestant 1: Striperskiff

Alex: Nooo I’m sorry I can’t give it to you. Next contestant.

Contestant 2: Who is Striperskiff?

Alex: YES!!! remember your responce has to be in the form of a question.

I haven’t slept that long since i was a baby. I was dead tired before the tournament even started. Woke up earlier about 9PM for a couple of hours and now just up at 3am…and I barely drank any beer! (considering lenth of time out there)…Anyway, I think the total winning weight was (5 fish) 24 lbs caught by Holly from Orangeburg ($500). 2nd was about 16 lbs and then nothing close. Big fish was a tie with 2 fish weighing exactly 6.60 lbs.

Chip, sorry you couldn’t make it so I could show you “the ropes” on trolling…HA!! Not a single fish…not even a shorty…My GPS/FF locked up and I had to reset it, but I would love to have known how many miles I trolled. Other than a 2 1/2 hr break I pretty much fished the entire time. Looking back, maybe I should have switched up. I only pulled mumbo jumbo size lures the entire time hoping for a big fish or 2.

Now my only problem is figuring out what to when your wide awake at 3am on a Sunday morning. The boat is still hooked up and loaded, so maybe I’ll go trolling…I don’t think so!!!

sorry about that man. sounds like you had the karma like i had the day before your get together…lol…that sux… was winners trolling or live in it? sounds like the fish really weren’t biting that well. jim? you catch any?

as Richard told me when I asked, “all the fish weighed in were caught on God’s bait”, you know he gotta luv that

Jim had one dink when I last talked to him on the radio late that night/early am…not sure if he ever picked up any more…sounded like he had a tuff nite too…

Leaving work now to do my honey dews and try it a cpl hrs this evening…not sure if I will feel worse if I get skunked again or have a good evening and know I just missed it by a day like you did.

we had 4 total, all shorts. 2 on DR’s, 2 on roadrunners on lead core. ran 2 high pressure sodium lights for the first time and the bait blacked us out - graph reading 20’ in 110’ of water - nice marks below, but no takers. where did all the wind come from? it was rough from about 10PM 'til we quit. it was a tough night. at least the thunder storms stayed away.
