When will the Lake World TX be this year?
Last year it was a week or two before our June tournament. I would think they would keep it the same. They didn’t change anything due to the “5 and done” rule and I think the event worked out fine. It would have been better if Marshall had an extra $25 in his pocket for the big fish pot but the event itself was great.

Having thought about it a little, Lake World’s second tournament was a night tournament that operated under the 5 and done rule. Their first one was in June but the rule did not take effect until the new regs came out in July. Either way, they were both good tournaments and I feel the 5 and done rule did not change things significantly. Maybe people fished larger teams the second time around?
I spoke to Richard today and unfortunately due to personal family reasons he is not sure if he will have one, none or both tournaments this year. There is normally the Lake World tournament which I believe he said has always been held the first weekend in June, and then he had the night tournament last year as well which I participated in. At this moment he is not sure what he will announce, but lets keep Richard and Donna in your prayers and give him a little time to decide what he can do this year with regards to tournaments. We certainly appreciate all they do to support our addiction… and we certainly want to continue to support their local business as well.

I was in there after school today for bait, ice, and drinks. I didnt get to fish last weekend due to band festival at Carowinds; so I opted for an evening trip today. Donna was on the phone but smiled and waved. I could tell she was happy I stopped in. Lets all continue to keep the Halls in our prayers!
