I stopped by Lake World and picked up this flyer yesterday. They are hosting their tournament the Saturday before the MSC DNR Open. This should be a good chance to compete for a big prize and get some hook hours on the water ahead of the club event! I did my best to type everything from the flyer. Please stop in at Lake World to get the official copy and to register.

I haven’t fished a LW tx in a long time. May try to fish this one. Would give me the opportunity to finally fish my 200gal bait tank in a tx. Would be nice to keep 5 good fish alive in it for a weigh in. That’s prob an extra pound of weight from being dead and alive.
Will have to see what my bait options are by then…Although it will still prob be won by a cut-baiter…
Maybe it was the time we caught the fish in february but my fish weighed in the same weight as when I caught them. It was about 3 hours from catch to weigh in but mine went on ice and weighed exactly the same per my scales and matched up pretty close to the tx scales. I’m down to fish with anyone wanting to fish this. Idk about fishing myself but wouldn’t mind fishing with some other big timers needing a mate.
200 gallon tank, what do you have a swimming pool in your boat? Ha
Doubles as a jacuzzi, too. Lol…

-What’s the best eating fish, you ask? I’ve found that for a lot people, its the ones that they happen to be able to catch, clean, and cook. - My Dad (1/13/37 - 9/27/16 I love you Pops)

Baittank, bait catching tank, swimming pool, jacuzzi, what ever u want to call it…lol… for awhile now I have been wanting to do away with striper tubes and a Baittank and just use 1 tank for everything.
I have been playing around with speeds while catching bait. Boat runs 42-43mph with a reg 50gal and all my gear. Boat runs 41-42mph with the swimming pool full of water and another 100-200# of bait… So really the only thing I lose is a little bit of room…But there is still plenty of room for 2 people on a tx day. And heck if it works out I will use it on the regular OSBTT txs that I usually fish…
This is an old pic of when I had my single axel trailer. It doesn’t look like it’s gonna fall apart now…Lol…

Naaaa I was referring to there being a difference in weight from being dead or alive. You may not see a big difference in a 2 fish weigh in on smaller fish, but a 5 fish weigh I think could be different…
How many times in the spring have you opened the cooler to find fish throwing up in the cooler…They gorge this time of year. 5 fish throwing up will be some weight but not alot, take 5 big males and let them empty out their sacks in a cooler. Add that to the bait the fish throwed up and that may be the difference between a check and Pat on the back… I try to think of every possible advantage in something like this.
If your just fishing a tx for “fun” and not taking it serious then you need to leave the bait at the shop and just come watch the weigh in…Lol…

Also … and I know this will come as a shock … size does matter … The bigger the fish the greater the postmortem weight loss … and in a TX where ounces matter you do whatever you can to preserve the weight …
Learned that lesson at the November 2014 TX …
Our fish were all cooler fish (dead) … Four fish weigh-in and our biggest fish was 13+ pounds …
It was a joint TX and so there were separate stations to measure the fish and then weigh the fish …
We came up with our cooler and the TX Director measured our fish and then dropped them back into the cooler …
When he dropped our 13 pounder … crap came out of the fish … literally … fish poop …
I jokingly said to the TX Director that his actions just cost me a position …
Come weigh-in time … We lost 2nd place by .02oz to Team Landlocked …
I have NEVER weighed in a dead fish since …
If I can keep it alive I will do so by any means necessary …

Good point, didn't think about that. Defiantly serious about tournament fishing no doubt. was going to fish the tournament on Clark Hill this weekend but decided to get ready for Murray tournament next week. I'm hoping my hole produces like it did last year and put me a couple grand in my pocket.

I bet you will be in it! I’m changed my mind and gonna hit another spot, then check the “next Friday” and decide which one I’m gonna fish for next Saturday. Gonna have my Chip Bragg Special and my vest tank and pull some of them clark hill silver bullets and some reedy river turd rollers.
