Does anyone know of other fresh water fishing lakes around the n Charleston area. Preferably large mouth bass
Goose Creek reservoir. The upper reaches of the Cooper River. Plus, there’s countless pits and ponds in and around that area. Granted I don’t how many of those pits and ponds are accessible to the public.
As far as actual lakes," the closest is going to be Lake Moultrie and Lake Marion (Santee Cooper).
No matter how much it hurts, how dark it gets, or how far you fall…you are never out of the fight.

Like stick said, GCR. Also, the James Island park has some decent bass in their pond.
There’s good bass fishing in Bushy park. Seen some nice ones come out of foster creek and some of the coves in that area.

Is fosters creek and the copper river fresh water?
Fosters Creek side of Bushy Park is freshwater. Brackish on the other side of the road.
