Just started tying my own flies. Tried my first clouser (chart. and white)in the pond on Saturday. A minute into fishing, a nice 3 #der hit the lure at the end of the second strip as it was falling. After some acrobatics, I landed the fish and released. After a few more minutes, I caught a bass off the bed (couldn’t believe it). He was probably 2# and mouthed the bait to move it out the bed. Missed a few more strikes and called it a day. Mighty windy. It’s satisfying knowing that you fooled a fish into biting a lure you tied and presented.
