Last few trips

Just a few pics from the first part of the year.

Looking over Lake Jocassee

Nice flow on the Chatooga. Hiked from the fish hatchery down to the other side of Burrells Ford bridge.

Caught around 15 rainbows and one brown…kept six for the camp frying pan. Good thing too because the spin guys didn’t do too good and we were all hungry.

Spent a week down in Gulf Shores AL. Axle bearing burned up on the trailer so the boat was in the shop most of the time…hate holiday weekends.

Caught a bunch of ladyfish, grunts, spanish and this trout. Could not get the reds to eat. Scotty and I figured out it must have been the 15lb fluoro leader. I had it rigged for macks and didn’t think abut changing back to some regular tippet. Oh well…

Did get the boat out with my youngest fishing buddy but she didn’t last long. Caught a couple of trout and heard a male gator roaring back in the swamp.

Went on a float trip down the Broad for smallies and had a ball.

First smallmouth otf. That ES will catch anything!

Nicer fish with someone else taking the pic.

Nope…regretfully not otf but on a Tiny Torpedo. Caught around 40 fish. Next time it will only be t

nice pics…Jocassee has to be one of the states finest jewels…stunning
