Testing the fishing from November to December. The sheepshead were biting like crazy around thanksgiving and before Christmas. After Christmas the water went to Below 60Degrees and the sheepshead bite has died down for me inshore. Now it’s time to chase the Reds. Before i get accused of overfishing, I love to eat Sheepshead. All of the meat went to fish taco’s, baked fish or whole fried fish.

38" Bull red on the broad river in Beaufort. Not too many kayak guys down here so it’s not as good as how you boys in Charleston have it. it’s a lonely mans game here.

Wooooo, nice red. I had a 31" give me a nice ride last month, I imagine that big boy was really fun to reel in.
It was a blast to catch that fish. It was raining and stormin but the fish were feeding that day like crazy!! I was catching blue fish on every cast and then i thought i was hung up on an oyster bed until the oyster bed started moving. It gave my shimano stradic 2500 on 10lb test a beating. It took me about 20 mins to reel him in and another 5 mins to set him off.
