Went out on a friend’s boat. Ran to a little north of the Sowpen and trolled out to 300 feet. Started off fast with two dolphin, a cutoff, raised a sail, and had a tuna miss the way back within an hour. Tuna came out of the water and cracked the Black Bart, but no hookup. The sun came out of the clouds and the wind came up and everything stopped. The wind slowed down about 9:30 and we caught another nice dolphin, had another cutoff, caught a nice wahoo and a cuda. Then it slowed down for good. We did see a blue free-jumping. We trolled to the Edisto Banks and inside on a small weedline, but nothing more. Pulled the lines in about 1:30. Didn’t sound like much was happening at the banks on the radio.
Sloppy ride the last ten miles.
