Late post, been busy working. I got to sneak out sunday morning for a few hours. Fished the last half of the falling and the first half of the rising. Caught a couple small reds around 14 inches near some docks. I decided to go after some flounder, but it was slow. I boated a 13 incher on a trout eye jig with a gulp shrimp. The next one was probably 16 to 18 inches, but got off right before I could net it. I moved to a new spot near some docks, adjacent to a big drop off. Tossed out a live shrimp on a carolina rig and set the rod in the rod holder. I turned around to rig up another rod but my drag started going off. I reeled in a 16 inch trout. For the next hour I could only fish 1 rod because the fish were hitting as soon as the bait sank to the bottom. I got lucky and boated 16 trout. Only kept 5 between 15-16 inches. Most were at 13 inches. Called it a day after that. Best day of trout fishing this year.
