The only good thing about day light saving is you can get on the water earlier and get home sooner. Hit crab bank around 5:30 and started throwing at 6:15. They showed up , not great numbers but very steady. Nice night on water. Were back at the landing by 8:00 with 1/2 cooler. With the hurricane it would of been nice to see the season last another week since the shrimp were getting back to their normal size at crab bank. Mostly large medium to large with very little smalls. Any way for the most part a good season.
There ain’t no But in Black and White
We were out last night at CB too. Must have been a different school of shrimps, because ours were mostly smalls w/ some mediums and a few larges. 1st run was heavy, but Flipper ran poles twice, had a little over 1/4 cooler at 8:00, decided wasn’t worth re-baiting and staying out late. Was home by 9. It was a good night on the water and not a bad way to close out the season. I sure wish we had another week too. I’ll post if get any shrimps deep-holing once the water cools down. Hope all have a happy Thanksgiving and Christmas/Holiday season. Time to focus on fishing, Only 10 months to next season…
