Last week on the Jabez

Had our first three trips of the season. Fished from SW banks to Hole and around that area. Water was around70 and looked great. Plenty of activity and bait to be found. Surprising the amount of barracudas already here. We caught a bunch of them, AJ’s, bonita, sharks, bluefish, BFT’s, Mauis, and wahoo. There was hardly a lull in the action any of the days. The blackfin have all been of good size except for sunday when we caught some in the 10-12 pound range. Several in the mid to upper 30’s. The grand total of meat to the dock for the 3 trips was 4 maui, 4 wahoo, and 65 BFTs. With sunday being our best bft catch of 34. Hope to do some more this weekend but the weather isnt looking that great.

Nice… I called our trip off… looks like maybe on the wrong day. thanks for the report

Thats a bunch of tuna’s. Good work!

Do you mind sharing what kind of baits you were pulling to catch those blackfin? I cannot seem to get them to bite.

Solid work Captain Ben. We fished near ya’ll at the hole last monday and had a good bite. I heard reports btn here and Florida and sunday was good for everyone. Congrats!

Great fishing Captain Ben!
