i knew the reds were feeding on shrimp yesterday and i looked throgh the flies from the swamt and that one sait throw me, throw me. i hung it up on oysters twice and took the tm over to get it. i knew i would blow up fish doing so, but i wanted that fly back!
Maybe this year it should be a meet up and swap insytead of a mail in… the promise of beer and meeting people may spur them into actually tying on time I’d be in for it… of course there is always the caviat that I may be deployed at anytime… man I can’t wait to retire so I don’t have that hangning over me…

People from all over participated. I had some of the flies within the first 2 weeks of setting it up. There were a few others that held the thing up forever. And one of them even worked at flyshop which was ironic I thought, How hard would it have been to walk over to the clousers and just grab a dozen and send them in as yours to at least save face with everyone. A deadline should be a must for one. I may participate but wont organize one ever again.
He took the bait like a jugbelly redfish on an olive and white clouser.
