After 3 days without fishing, I broke self isolation late yesterday afternoon. Surprisingly, it seems everyone else did as well. The waterway as crowded. A strong southwesterly breeze blowing against the outgoing tide, made for sloppy conditions. Less than optimal for fishing but I was happy to be out and on the water. Trout were holding and feeding along oyster lined channel banks in about 10 feet of water. They took Z-Man StreakZ 3.75 (Blue Back Herring) on a 3/16 ounce Eye Strike Jig and Finesse TRD (The Deal) on 1/5 ounce NedLockZ jig equally well. Strikes were aggressive. Trout bite was good. Sunset was better.
