Late August on the Bow River, Alberta

Had the great fortune to be able to hit the Bow River a second time. The Charleston Angler put together a trip in August to the ‘River Ranche’ (http:/www.riverranche.com). The ‘ranche’ is situated in the middle of the Siksika (Blackfoot) reserve about 1 hr southeast of Calgary and has exclusive access to the 80 miles of river that run through the reserve. Except for ‘ranche’ patrons, we non-Blackfoot may not access the river anywhere on the reserve, unless with the permission of a resident. This was our second week long trip (9 float days) and we didn’t see a single boat other than our fellow fisher people from the Ranche.

Any way, I finally got an amateur video put together. I can’t imagine my amateur photography skills and video editing do the place justice. And, don’t expect ‘jerms’ quality work, here. But, 'hope it is worth taking in.

That’s a GREAT video and I really appreciate you putting it together!

Thanks Dragonslayer. Hope it is good enough to be entertaining. Hard to know if others will think it is quality fish porn or just my home movies. I had fun making it, anyway.

And, I can’t sing River Ranche praises to much. The owner lives in Charleston and spends his summers running the ‘Ranche’ including guiding. He and his crew are great people.
