I’m obviously new to your site folks. We happened to be at BH the day they closed. Felt sorry for the Forestry cop that had to man the gate & turn them away. He got some moderate hostility especially from campers who were given 12 hr. notice to git. Common language was that this year as expected, is yielding poor shrimp numbers and size due to rain. 1/2 coolers of small shrimp were taking 10 runs just about everywhere on the bay. We opted for a Awendaw cr. run at that midnight low tide and got skunked. We were told to be gone by 6am. when we put in and by 1/2 new tide around 3am. we quit. Hopefully by Nov. there will be some gobs of decent shrimp out of nowhere? We’ll be reading your posts as a partial gauge before we hit the bay again. Might have to settle for Wando meds. in volume if that doesn’t happen. Been coming from Pickens for decades and this forum is helpful. Thanks.

some people say you lose about 30-40% in the heads, but that looks dern closer to 50% to me!
