Late First Post 5/9

Well, maybe not my first post but first post in a long time and first post fishing out of my own boat. Anyway…here it is:

Left Bristol Marina about 5:30 am with a crew of 2 and headed south. Found some nice lookin water with great temp breaks and flyers in about 150ft. Had two decent size dolphin in the boat within 10 minutes. Trolled shallow water most of the the day and picked up 4 more dolphin and missed 2 others.

Pushed offshore some in the afternoon and picked up a nice wahoo. Headed back in about 3pm and stopped briefly to bottom fish but couldnt find the structure and bad weather was coming. Heard over the radio that Coast Guard was either lookin for or keeping radio contact with a small Sea Ray way offshore. Not sure how that turned out…

Anyway the Contender ran great…30mph back in and we almost missed the storm. About 10 miles out and the air temp felt like it dropped 20 degrees…then we hit the rain…and it hit us back!

So ended up with 6 dolphin and a nice wahoo. Fun day but a lot of work for a small crew. Only saw 2 boats out there all day. I guess thats Wednesday fishing!

Good report thanks for posting.
