Doesn’t seem like many people are posting so i figured ill put up the late late report. Went out the friday before last towards the Edisto Banks and were greeted at the banks by a decent weedline and tons of cigar minnows. Caught a bunch of decent dolphin on the troll early and eventually got bored of catching 10-15 lbs fish. At 9:00 decided to freedive under the weeds and see if i could stick a few. As we pulled up to a good weed paddy and started to reel in all the lines in i notice a dark shape right under the boat…i initially think shark…no cobia…then i saw the sail. Anyhow dropped back and hooked him right off the transom. Wasnt that big, maybe 30-35, i jumped in a bit early and managed to get some underwater shots with the new camera (forgot to put in on underwater mode so they are not that great). Regardless its kinda cool. Later in the day managed to shoot some pretty good dolphin up to 15lbs and catch some more on troll and spinning. Shot one 30-40 lbs bull that about drowned me-- he lived to fight another day. All in all a good day on the water.
