Good day in 100+
dats an ass of hog fish…
Nice haul guys!
Welcome to the site!
It will be interesting to see how the peanut gallery plays this one.
Set the trap boys, we going to pass through them again!!
somebody’s eating good!
HOGFISH!
thats enough hogfish and tails for a good while…good catch
Why shoot such little hogfish when you have plenty of big ones?
maybe they shot the little ones before the big ones? Who really cares. . . they all eat.
“Proper Prior Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance”
We shot a few small ones, they eat just as well. Can’t be too picky on fish like that. We had to fill the freezer up
very, very, nice

a man can fish for his entire life, 'fore he realizes its not the fish he has pursued!!!
Yeah, you guys are right. Fishermen and spearfishermen shouldn’t have to worry about their perception in times like these…
It’s not like the eco-maniacs are trying to paint us all as meathog rednecks that want to kill every last fish in the ocean. Maybe we should just kill everything that walks, flies, swims in front of us while we have the chance…
“Maybe we should just kill everything that walks, flies, swims in front of us while we have the chance…”
i would tend to agree with that statement in a lot of cases
its the fastest that get paid, and the fastest that get laid.
agreed completely with skinne J- not caring what a single person has on here to say…it is piss poor to keep that many small hogfish when there are big ones…why do u even want to shoot a hog under 10 lbs…if you are spearfishing and need to shoot fish under 10 lbs that is pathetic anyways-
one other thing to note is the ignornace of many people on this site that only eat the tails of those big spinys when the whole rest of the lobster is loaded with meat- u should be eating the whole thing out respect for the 10 yr old lobster u just killed for your eating pleasure
im sure i will get many ill responses to this post but i could care less b/c most posting on this site are ignorant anyways
I would have paid five bills for all that hogfish.
Nice haul!
“Negative. I’m a meat popsicle!”
(**() dude who do you think you are to open your cock sucker and call others out it was a killer day nice shootin fellas someone sounds a lil jealous if you ask me skinnej gave his opinion without name calling and trying to bring someone down and on another note ignorance is bliss look at all that hogfish haha congrats guys thats awesome
I’m so Charleston i got spanish moss on my balls!!
Nice haul!!! If the fish are in legal size and quantity limits what does it matter? Maybe they shoot the small ones so the bigger and sexually mature fish can continue to produce offspring. Like any other animal in this world the dude can eat what he wants. The rest will feed something or someone else.
Thanks for teaching us how and what to eat. I might have starved to death without your wise words…
Would you guys feel the same way if it was a bunch of 6 and 8 point bucks on the deck with 5-10 50lb does mixed in (even if they had tags)?
I don’t know any deer hunter that would shoot as many 50lb does as they could on their own property, but it’s funny how moral ethics change when it comes to a shared resource.
Either we can police ourselves or we can throw caution to the wind and let the federales do it for us… I hate being the bearer of bad news, but times are changing. Perception is EVERYTHING in today’s fishery management.
And PS, I can assure you that there is no jealousy. I’ve got several spots loaded with small female hogs and I won’t touch them. The females eventually get bigger and turn into alpha males. That’s when you shoot them in the face.

Aint nothing wrong with that. The land we have, we are required to kill every deer we see. If it is big enough to leave a track, kill it. Pa-in-law owns part the farm and wants them killed. They are in there like rats.
Did not mean to hijacck your thread, but skinny had to bring deer into it.
Nice catch by the way.
