Late post sorry, fished out of Bohicket for ARS season. In Sea Pines this week with family for trip with the three daughters 10/12/14 and wifey. Gonna try to fish Friday and/or sat well see.
Buddy boated out with a friend so 8 of us total 4 on each boat. Friday was rough found menhaden in front of kiawah one cast and done. Managed about 25/27 knot ride out to our spot 30ish out, 85ish feet. Was pretty miserable ride honestly. Spent about 3 hours bumping around and headed back towards the hill. Got our snapper quick, a few triggers and about 100 porgies we tossed back. B liners were hard to get on but we did get a decent dolphin. Swam by the boat and tossed a piece of cut squid. Crap ride back in at maybe 25knts. Good fish but didn’t find the big ones we had been catching.
Sat we thought it was gonna lay down some. Ride out was worse than Friday, probably averaged 18-20knts and got out ass kicked again. Forecast looked like 2.5-3 but it seemed like mostly 3-4 on the way out with some 5’s mixed in. Fished a different spot in about 100’. Should have honestly not left early as it def layed down after lunch. Got our snapper again better size sat. Biggest fish we 26 on scale. Ride in was flat made 35knts.
Had fun with a lot of good Friends, 2 days/2 fish is a ■■■■ show but gave us all a reason to get together and go so def thankful for that.
