Late Post Sunday 01-15 HOO-Complished

Ventured out with my buddy Andy on Sunday.
Andy, Rob, Joe, and I shot straight out of the Jetties and started dragging baits on the ledge, hi-speed, then some bait, then bottom fishing, and ended the day with some more hi-speed dragging.

Found a pretty fish and a few bottom dwellers, solid day for sure, look forward to the next time.

Awesome shot that Joe took when we threw the lines in.

The one we found, it grabbed a Blue and White Dart on a line about 100 yards behind the boat.

Nice Jolthead off the bottom.

Beautiful day on the water, head out and catch some fish, they’re chomping.

Stop by either location and chat with us to find out what you need to catch that nice fish.

Nice Hoo Simon. You got red on you. (Shaun of the Dead reference)

I’m okay with a little blood, the shorts came out good as new out of the washer, I was surprised.

Good deal, Simon. How much did the 'hoo weigh?

That's a 50# fish give or take. If you had to pin me down, I would put 48# on it... But I wouldn't take issue if he claimed a few more lbs...

More like 60-80#s. That is a fat Wahoo.

Very few people have an accurate scale and consistently weigh fish. Wahoo is one of hardest fish to eyeball weights. Skinnee is normally very accurate on his weights. I have caught many wahoo and weigh every fish that we catch on a certified Boga grip. I would say within 5 lbs of 50 = 45-55lb give or take. Nice fish regardless

I was thinking high 40s

48 to 50

I’m sticking with 60# and over. I would venture that was a female with roe…or a bunch of flukes in her gut(usually 1-2). How many of you open the stomachs of the fish you catch, to see what they been eating?

Which one is the jolthead?!?!

Nice work, Simon. Now get back to work!

Mdaddy. I open the guts on every big fish I catch. Often use whats in there for bait

That fish was 58.6.

I didn’t want to weigh it so I could just make something up but we did.
