Late Report from 6/26 - Family in town

With family in town we headed out for a quick trip Wednesday. Everyone had a blast and we quickly got our seabass. We landed and released a nice ARS and some triggerfish as well. When my family tired of catching small bottom fish I broke out the fighting belt and my new jigging rods and we took turns fighting the large amberjack. I think everyone caught their biggest lifetime fish that day. We tried for cobia but a large shark quickly ate the chum bag and dashed my best hope for seeing them. Now I have to explain to my girlfriend what happened to her mesh laundry bag.
Thanks to Cltdeerhunter for buddy boating. Good to have another boat out there.

The 50 was great for cranking up the BSB doubles

I also went out catching night critters on the beach with my little brothers before they left town and we invented a new game.

Glad you got out there and were able to buddy boat with him. I’ve been wanting to buddy up with him, too, but things just been too busy and way too much lightning for me.
